About Ceremonial Cacao
The cacao normally used today has been stripped of most of its medicinal qualities with its bitterness and healing properties. It is roasted and fermented, which takes out much of its minerals, fats, and vitamins and other ingredients that make it fit for ceremonial use.
The cacao we use is made from ancient beans, same as the Mayans and Aztecs used hundreds of year ago, still bitter, still healing and full grade, containing all its medicinal qualities.
We use a cacao that is not roasted and minimally fermented, preserving all its properties and that is why it is called ceremonial cacao. It can be used as medicine in a ceremonial setting, as it is actually also physically medicine for the whole body. It stimulates stem cell production and raises blood flow. In addition, bringing natural stress relief, because it contains potassium, phosphorus, copper, iron, zinc, and magnesium which contribute to cardiovascular health.
